I recorded the video portion of this from my front door. (Caution: the audio may be a little loud.) The still photos were taken in various locations around town, including along the Coastal Trail.

I'm still waiting for my first glimpse of a moose in my area of the Adirondacks. We've heard there are a few around. Tracks have been spotted and one field scientist has said there was a radio collared cow in the neighborhood two years ago. Moose have made a big comeback in the Adirondacks in the last two decades.
I believe my two kids should get some credit. Fifteen years ago they brought their tuba up to practice on the second story deck. Both played the instrument in the high school marching band. Seven consecutive years we had a tuba player in the group. (My son is three years younger than my daughter. Only one year were they BOTH playing in the band and for that one year they had my son play a different instrument.)
I never thought about the effect of a tuba on the moose population ... LOL.
