Good morning! It's clear and sunny, with 9 degrees. We'll get up to about 20 today, or so AccuHunch guesseth. They're also calling for snow tonight & tomorrow.
Spring? It's only a word on the calendar ... an unavoidable fact of life, this far north.
The girls have all gone shopping, and I have the place to myself. So naturally, here I sit at the computer!
It's a gorgeous day, cold or not, and we're planning to spend most of the day out & about. We're also going out for a nice steak dinner, to celebrate my wife's first paycheck from her new job.
Speaking of spring, the entry doors at the property I manage are controlled by computer. The dates for Daylight Saving time were pre-programmed by the company which produces the software ... except since Congress has those dates changing each year, the system wouldn't unlock the doors on the 9th. It insisted that it wasn't 6 a.m. yet.
It took me two weeks, and several calls to the electronics company which installed it, to override the pre-programmed dates. It's working correctly now, so we'll see what happens in October when the return to standard time was supposed to happen. I think I addressed that, too, so it shouldn't be a problem (he said hopefully).
Y'all have a great day & enjoy the weekend!

My eyes were drawn to the word "shopping" and I wasn't able to read the rest of your post - sorry
I can see why you'd want to be in a store or mall, with it being 85 degrees outside. How can you stand that?
I'm glad you're having a happy Alaskan style spring!
Lanny: for better or worse, this is a "typical" spring. The temperatures begin to fluctuate, and then we get a heavy snow or two, before things finally thaw out.
"When it's springtime in Alaska it's forty below"
Johnny Horton strikes again! Yeah, I figger he was somewhere in the interior, where it didn't warm up at all until late May ... I'm glad we're warmer than that.
We went to an Airedale meetup on Saturday and even the dogs were ready to call it quits by 11am it was getting so warm! They did have fun though.:<)
It took us 3 days to get used to the 80-degree temp in Orlando, last November. 85 would literally lay us out ... we have to stay indoors.
