United? I Think Not ... from MOBro

I received this via e-mail, and it's too good not to pass along to our friends.

"I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!

I will always respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his developing abilities as an orator and wordsmith, BUT that is it.

I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President!

Why am I doing this?

It is because I do not share Obama's vision for America;

I do not share his Abortion beliefs;

I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;

I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August...I think it started at $250,000);

I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;

I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;

I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);

I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America;

I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran.

Bottom line, my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my God and my country to do what is Right!

For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs or their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!

They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years; they have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country!

They have made every effort to remove the name of God and Jesus Christ from our Society!

They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech!

Unite behind Obama?

Not today.

I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are sheep being led to slaughter, or at least to the kool-aid fountain!

PRESIDENT BUSH made a few mistakes during his Presidency and I am not sure how history will judge him.

However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America, and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight to be a voice in opposition to Obama and "his goals for America ."

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist, anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America !

"Error of Opinion may be tolerated where Reason is left free to combat it." (Thomas Jefferson)

God bless you and God bless our Country!!!

I also do not share his views on illegal immigration and the border, his spend now and worry about it latter attitude, or his views and the views of his administration on the constitution. Until we can get this country back to what was envisioned by the founding fathers, this country will continue its' downhill slide to becoming a third world country.

Have to say I agree 100% with both Larry Sparks and Richard.

It's going to be a long and memorable (as in the nightmare kind of memories) four years. With luck, however, there will be a resounding message sent in 2010 that will wake some of the dullards in Washington on both sides of the aisle.

I just found your blog and so far I like the views that are represented. Since I really don't have to many leftist view(none that I know of) I should be good to post here. I agree with you that I respect the office of President of the United States. I served in the Marine Corps and I respect the commander and cheif. However that respect comes for his office come from the oath I swore to protect and defend the constituion of the United States of America. I did not swear to protect the President or Congress's agenda or any other agenda. I swore to defend the rights and protections given to us by our founding fathers. These men were inspired by almighty God to establish a government with checks and balances that I belive are quicly being eroded. The founding father's belived that all men were created equal but that by individual growth that some would outstrip others. They did not intend government to insure that we were all exactly the same the just wanted us to be equal before the law. I love the United States of America but I do not love President Obama or the Current congress enough to let them erode the Constitution of this great land that protects me and my rights to worship my God, use my guns, exercise my freedoms of speech, assembly, and religion, and many others that are simply enumerated so that everyone can read them but Congress and the President seem to ignore to advance their socialist agenda. I will not be silent any longer. As for me and my house we will worship God and I am not afraid to say and do so. May God Bless America and help us get back on the tract he wants us to be on.

Hi, Lucky! Thank you for your service in the Corps. I'm an old Navy man, myself - welcome!

There are a lot of us that feel that same way. By the way, did you know I was a WAC?

Lol speaking of the Navy one of my really good friends is trying to convince me to go back into the military as an Officer and since he is going into the Navy that is where he is pointing me. It wouldn't be to bad as an officer. I was just a lowly enlisten Marine. Being an Officer would almost be like being a noble in medevil times where before I was just a peasent. Granted peseants did most of the work then too why the nobles just sat around. But thank you for the welcome.

And the media says we're no longer a Christian nation. Like all the Christians are now going to roll over and play dead? HA! Boy, are they in for a surprize! God IS Blessing America! "They" just don't know it yet.

Deedee: I had no idea you were ex-Army - thank you for your service!

Lucky: I'm glad I don't have to make the decision you now face. Of course, I'm too old to go back anyway! You'd probably make a good officer, and command the respect of the sailors because you know what it's like on the "other side".

Bro: ain't nobody talkin' 'bout rolling over! I know I won't.

Poor Mr Sparks. He and the rest of the
religious reicht are running scared. They cannot comprehend that the lying war mongerer is finally out of office. After taking a country that was in the black he has run us so far into debt that it will take far more years than Obama's terms to fix. Shrubya lined his pockets with as much oil money as he could, made the very wealthy much more wealthier and our poorest much more poor.

Did Mr. Sparks ever stop to consider that perhaps the founding fathers actyually had something in mind when they seperated church and state?? Probably not..

Did he ever stop and think that Shrubya's mistakes are on such a grand scale that he almost caused another great depression, but he slithered out of office just in time to drop all his mistakes into the next administration's lap?? Naahhh Because Bush was a "Christian" all his mistakes in office are ok with people like Mr Sparks. It amazed me during the campaign how the religious reicht can criticize a man who attends church every Sunday and praise a man who never set foot in one.

Mr Sparks is nothing new.. his views are tired and do not and will not ever help this country.

Obama has a huge job ahead of him, but I think he will be just fine without the support of the likes of you, Mr Sparks..

Ms. Rehmert,

Thank you for stopping by, and taking the time to comment. I respect your right to speak your mind, and included your remarks here for that very reason.

However, I also respectfully disagree with your conclusions.

And perhaps - just perhaps - when you post a 'rebuttal' on a blog established by a minister of the Gospel, you might refrain from disparaging remarks about the "religious reich." I personally find that remark offensive, as you don't know me nor what my spiritual beliefs are. Your sweeping condemnation of Christians is specious, as is any sweeping generalization.

For example, I could make an unwarranted assumption about your beliefs, based on your remarks here. You may be Vegan, Gaian, or worship toadstools, for all I know. But I won't go there, as it accomplishes nothing.

Mr. Bush didn't "slither out of office just in time": his elected term expired. The problems now faced have been around for some time, and didn't just come to light because a new President took office. The media may like to paint it that way, but if so, they'd be lying.

Nor am I a defender of his presidency: I disagreed vehemently with his immense growth of the federal bureaucracy, many of the provisions of the Patriot Act, and the placebo effect of the TSA, among many other things.

I share a sneaking suspicion that he ordered the hunt for Saddam Hussein to avenge his own father. Hussein was a very evil man, but I'm not at all certain that it was our responsibility to do anything about it.

I was deeply disappointed that the Republicans failed to use their six years in the majority to do the right thing, according to the conservative values they claimed to share. They willingly participated in a vast expansion of the government, and failed to exercise due supervision of the financial markets as required by existing law.

I disagreed vehemently with the first installment of TARP funds, under President Bush. I don't like the willy-nilly distribution of my tax dollars now, either.

The only difference I can tell between Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama is that the new President is doing the same things faster.

You're welcome to your opinion, ma'am, just as we are to ours, and Mr. Sparks is, to his. But you won't find many here who agree with you.
