Disturbing Quote of the Day

"I forgot where I read this but someone pointed out that it’s a bit scary that the US government will own OnStar. By owning 70% of GM, they would control OnStar as well."

Scary - yes! I'm sure, though, it always been part of their plan. Like who owns guns, how many, and where are those of us that disagree with their ideals...

I don't know Rev.

Isn't OnStar a subsiderary so in all actuality they really wouldn't "own" it but can control some of the financing?

Just a thought.

The actual ownership isn't so much an issue as access to the information about location and places driven, which is none of the government's business.

Rev. that is if they do keep track. I don't think they do, only on calls that come in and in some cases 1/3rd of these people are using it due to rentals.

They cull information after 2 years as well. So not to much to back log concerning that.

Up, we may have to respectfully disagree on this one, at least to a point. On-Star's policies have been benevolent, in the past; that's not the problem.

I fear what might happen with the data once Big Brother finds out he can get his hands on it; I don't trust them to do anything approaching the right thing.

Rev. no I think we agree. Trust is not there.

I have no On Star - but they will still find me. *sigh*

Great minds think alike. That is exactly what I thought. I don't like big brother with any additional information.
