Good morning! It was 46 degrees at the airport, and 44 at my place this morning. Heavy condensation on the cars is a harbinger (warning?) of frost in the days to come. Just a note: most places in the Interior reported overnight lows in the mid-20s.
The air is crisp and clear, and while the Chugach Mountains (3 miles away) are cloud-enshrouded, the Tordrillos (80 miles west) are shining in the sun. Unfortunately, they're shining because they're completely snow-covered. Winter's coming, folks.
The low angle of the sun was positioned correctly to blind drivers looking to the east, but it also perfectly highlighted several flocks of geese forming Vs as they head south.
More and more of the trees are changing colors, and yellow predominates, so far.
It's this kind of morning that makes me look forward to fall, at least a little. I'm not quite ready for winter yet, but snow is still a couple of months away. Right now, the prospect of falling leaves has left me with less dread than I expressed just a few days ago.
Smile and be cheerful today, folks - it'll confound the angry and confuse the vengeful!
Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah... even the "I'm not ready! I'm not ready!" sense of dread pales some at that wonderful crisp air.
Sure is thoughtful of the Good Lord to paint all those trees in UAA colors every fall, eh? :)
I don't know if it's the air, but the change of heart sure came on suddenly. It might have been the sunshine, too ... but I'm glad for the change.
UAA colors? Maybe. I'm not sure He's partial to campuses - but I could be wrong!
