* Gas went up to $3.01/gallon last Friday, then back down to $2.97 on Monday. It has been climbing slowly this week, and now sits at $3.05. At least we get discounts, ranging from three to ten cents, at the stations we frequent. Mr. Truck gets thirsty when driven a lot. Go figure.
* I've been waiting all summer for this weekend and MoBro's arrival on Sunday. I probably mention it too much, but we haven't seen any friends or family all year. (Since you're reading this, Bro, it will be sunny & 67 when you arrive.)
* I don't often include Scripture in these posts, but there's someone who needs to see the following:
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." (II Cor. 1:3-4)That's for you, Lady; may it be a word in due season.
* Younger Daughter is working on some sort of chicken-based dish. She had me print several of Brigid's recipes yesterday, so it may be one of those. There hasn't been a bad one yet, so I suspect we'll dine well, tonight. (And no, that doesn't mean I'm expecting a bad one...)
I'm going to enjoy the rest of the afternoon, and mourn - just a bit - that there's no more of Monster Hunters International to read today. The book ends way too soon, but neatly sets up the next in the series. For the few of you who haven't read it yet - I was late to the party - it's a MUST read.
Have a great weekend, folks; thanks for stopping by.

You don't mention it too much; we know exactly how you feel. My family was only able to come the first year we lived here and my family has never seen our two youngest.
