Welcome to Arkham Asylum, where the inmates run the joint, and the Joker's in charge.
I can't find a better way to describe how this week's news has made me feel. The Congress, being aware that around 80% of the population is opposed to the health-care takeover, announces its intention of passing the bill, anyway.
The current occupant of the White House wee-wee'd on national TV, which promptly sparked a debate about what he meant.
People who exercise their RKBA are described as crazies, hate-mongers, right-wing extremists, and even the RKBA crowd can't decide if it's good, bad, or ugly.
MSNBC took video of a well-dressed black man, then cropped, chopped, and edited it to the point that it was unrecognizable. This, so they could decry the "white people with guns".
Town hall meetings, traditionally a place where politicians go to hear from their constituents, is now the home of "All you little people/angry mobs/Nazis sit down, shut up, and listen to us tell you what's good for you." Sound off indoors, and be ridiculed. Exercise your freedom of speech outdoors, and be beaten for it.
I could go on, but you're all familiar with what's happening.
It makes me sick. It makes me angry. And I'm obviously not alone.

Correct-O-mundo. You are NOT alone in your thinking. Do you suppose the Obama admin is word searching on line to see who are the "angry malcontent" bloggers??
hmmmmm. Cassie
Cassie, I'd be very surprised if they WEREN'T searching on-line. It's been made clear that the administration, and especially the president, cannot tolerate criticism or disapproval.
You are not alone, Paul.
I've about had it up to 'here' with all the un American crapola!
There is a very deep hole out in the woods..... just sayin' :)
House Party!
:)
I don't know... I rather suspect some of them enjoy the disapproval. Frustrating to them sure, but it lets 'em play the "misunderstood benevolent philosopher-king" role.
