I think a lot of the answers will come after the elections in 2010. IF the people fold and elect the same old clowns, or IF the same old clowns get remain in office through trickery, AND IF the powers in DC do not heed the people's call...well then the fit will hit the shan.
How's that Chinese curse go again? "May you live in interesting times."
