Having read about Lessons from Armed America by Mark Walters & Kathy Jackson over at Tam's place, I ordered a copy from Amazon. (I paid for it myself; no one offered me a copy nor any remuneration for reading or reviewing it. Happy, FTC?)
With an introduction by Massad Ayoob, this book provides instances of armed self-defense, with many stories told in the first-person by those involved. It goes on to present ways some such cases could be avoided, plus actual results of those life-and-death decisions; some good, and some not.
The lessons here are extremely useful for those new to armed self-defense, as well as those who made a decision to go armed years ago. I recommend it highly.

Dear Rev, What would I do without you to get me up to date on these things?! Wish I had wi-fi at the cabin so I could really catch up. It's finally back to Fall here in N.Idaho. Should be in the 50's today. Happy Sunday!
Hi, Cassie. I'm glad you like my scribbling ... at least two or three folks are reading this, which is gratifying.
We've made it up to 37 at 1 pm, and AccuHunch Weather thinks we'll hit 43 this afternoon. No snow yet, though.
