Virtually all reasonable laws are obeyed, not because they are the law, but because reasonable people would do that anyway. If you obey a law simply because it is the law, that's a pretty likely sign that it shouldn't be a law.

Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government's purposes are beneficial … the greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well meaning but without understanding.
~ Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis, 1928

An arctic air mass is bearing down on us, promising to blow out the omnipresent fog - and replace it with snow. It was breezy & snowing lightly this morning when I drove to work. That's a good thing. AccuHunch Weather guesses we might even see the sky by Wednesday night or Thursday morning - that would be the first time in about 10 days, if it happens.
On another note, the number of people here who are fed up with the shenanigans in D.C. - and getting vocal about it - is encouraging. That's a healthy sign.
Have a great day.

Good quotes.
Let's hope that the folks in D.C. haven't got their fingers in their ears. They seem to have forgotten the meaning of a representative government.
The first quote sounds exactly like Heinlein. Stay warm.
