New Year's Day, 2010

Happy New Year! It's a lovely 6 degrees with a light freezing fog this morning, and we await sunrise in another half-hour or so. Update: at 11 a.m., the fog has doubled in density, reducing visibility to less than two blocks. It's also leaving a heavy frost on everything, and the trees are turning white again. Meanwhile, AccuHunch Weather continues to call for "clear and sunny" today.

As we all try to forget the more negative parts of The Year That Just Was, let's also remember that things which brought us together: a love of country and a new-found respect for the traditions and liberty which have made U.S. great.
