Scott Brown: the Morning-After Analysis

Pundette has done a far superior job to anything I'd have written. Excerpt:

Brown campaigned as the super-majority breaker and his supporters voted for precisely that. Why else would they be chanting 41, 41, 41?

Will Obama and the power-drunk Democrats in Congress get it? Early signs point strongly to maybe. Philip Klein posts a statement from Barney Frank that Klein reads as a possible death knell for Obamacare. (Hat tip to Michelle Malkin -- read her excellent analysis of the Democrats' meltdown.)

It's a heckuva happy anniversary for Obama. It was just a year ago today that he flubbed the oath of office, charmed us with a color-coded inaugural invocation, and dissed our Medal of Honor heroes by skipping their ball. He was likened to Fred Astaire, though he cannot dance, and [gulp] Jesus Christ, though he has yet to part or lower the oceans or whatever. But that's probably our fault. Change is hard and some will cling, bitterly, to the status quo.

Remember this line from the inaugural speech?
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas that for far too long have strangled our politics. We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.
Ah, the naked irony. Pettiness, lies, the failed dogma of socialism, and political corruption have been the hallmarks of Obama's presidency. And by 'childish things' it seems he meant our liberty.

Go read the whole thing - it's good for you!
