Climate-gate: the gift that keeps on giving

Oh, lucky us. As part of the reorganization of NOAA, it seems they're going to open a Climate Science Service* center in Anchorage.

"From its rural transportation infrastructure to subsistence livelihood of Native Alaskan communities, climate changes like decreases in duration of sea ice and increases in land surface temperature are impacting Alaska earlier and with more intensity than anywhere in the United States," NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco wrote in a letter to Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska.

Except not so much.

They're ignoring the part about where they admitted - last year - that they somehow "missed" an ice area the size of Alaska when they surveyed the arctic ice pack. And it's really growing, not shrinking. Oops. (How'd that happen?) And the part about the melting glaciers being completely made up. And the part about how "climate" is just another word for "weather", and how weather is always changing.

And how in 2008 Anchorage had a) snow flurries three times in July, b) the coldest July on record, and c) the third-coldest summer on record. Nope, those things don't matter.**

So it's just what we need - more federal government intrusion in Alaskan affairs. And oh-so-convenient: they can make up their lies right here at the source.

Seriously, they won't be happy until they force us all to move out of Alaska entirely. This kinda crap makes me remember why I used to drink.

* "But the science is settled."
**"But the science is
settled, I tell you!"

It makes me gag when they start talking about "Native" anything... that always means they're out to get money. Not only that - they're out to make regular people feel like they should just off themselves to save the Earth. BAH!

They're also missing the part about the surface temperature stations located right next to or on parking lots, tarred roofs, air conditioning units, etc. In short, the entire heat island affect that much of the land data is biased toward.

Jane Lubchenco's statement suggests that she does not like anything that will make Alaska more inhabitable.

Somehow the global warmer-warmest theorists have conveniently forgotten about the thawed mammoths with wild flowers in their gullets. Now, how did that happen? Global warming? Not so much, I don't think!

By being flash frozen oh so long ago, after eating their desserts of flowers sans ice cream, the wooley mammoths preserved the climate information that is being so nicely ignored.

Where were the factories belching smoke and emissions from gas guzzling vehicles all those years ago? Where were the non-green light bulbs? Where were ...... oh, nm, Mr. Gore is hiding out waiting for the stink to waft away.

Yeah, we need another expenditure (even if placed up here) to collect all the facts (just the facts ma'am!)
