Red Dawn

... or, in the words of a friend, "Happy crappy bill-passing day."

I can't think of anything I want to say about it that wouldn't require repentance immediately thereafter, so I'm keeping my yap shut.

That said, there is always hope. Legal challenges are in the works, including a move by 35 states whose Attorneys General have agreed to challenge the so-called "reform" bill on several Constitutional grounds.

In addition, 35 states make a pretty solid block when it comes to nullification. So let's smile & carry on. The smile will confuse the Evil Party, and carrying on will keep us focused on the future, and on what remains to be done.

Am I angry about yesterday's betrayal of the People by Congress? Oh, yes. Do I despair? No - it's not over yet, not by a long shot.

Fear not, my friends - remember Who is in charge.

I only wish that He had been a little more proactive!

If the Good Lord leaves us to our own devices when we set out to murder each other, I reckon we can trust Him to leave us be when we set about knocking down our own sandcastles.

(Or mud pies, as CS Lewis would have it. :) )

I'd even disagree with the "Evil" part. The vast majority* of the people pushing this are doing so in the full belief that they're on the side of the angels, comforting the sick and helping the oppressed.

... that their actions basically just tossed jet fuel on the flames of our national house, well.... that's a flaw of perception and foresight, not one of crooked spirit.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I have to go see an optometrist about this log.... ;)

* But not hardly all. The character of "I'll play savior to the little people to further my own power and ego" is a recurring role all too many actors jump to step into. Who fits that shoe though is a question for One who can look into men's souls, not me.

Yes, good sir! This will not stand, and may very well be the unravelling of the thread which held this country together. Washington legislators are getting clever, Idaho governors are getting bold... and the people... well the people remain ever ready to resist!

Now that I'm done boo-hooing, I'll get mad and get busy!

This bill was not for "We, the people...". It was to continue making a historical event for BO, Pelosi, and Reid.

We, the people, can right most of the wrong done yesterday at the polls in November and again in 2012.

Thanks, Rev. Paul, for putting things into sensible perspective!
