Anchorage Daily News:
After displaying a .54 caliber flintlock pistol on campus during a small demonstration protesting the University of Alaska ban on carrying firearms on campuses, Rob Clift was issued a notice of violation of university regulations by UAA Police Department today. Three other people were also cited.
A flintlock? Cool!
Okay, so they were "cited" by University Police for violating an administrative rule. The next step in this saga should be interesting.
As the attorney explained it, last Saturday, those cited now have some decisions to make. They can a) pay whatever fine is involved, b) ignore the citation & face that penalty, c) contest it, and/or d) attempt a court battle over whether the UAA police have the authority to enforce an administrative rule while doesn't have the force of law. (IANAL, and my memory of the options here may be faulty. But it's what I remember.)
Stay tuned for updates as they become available.

Administrative rules, which do not have the force of law and yet violators may be given citations? Sounds like Alice In Wonderland to me.
As a building adimistrator, you better be paying close attention to this. Think of the possibilities!
Best of luck to him in his quest. I hope he can stick it out.
A flintlock, the guy sure does have class. Keep us all posted on this. Anytime the second amendment is trampled on we should all be concerned.
