It has been raining more or less continuously today, with temps in the low- to mid-50s. While that's not unusual, the humidity level has been. It was 93% when I awoke, climbed as high as 97% by mid-day, and is now 90%. I'm glad it's not much warmer. As it is, the freshly-mopped floors took nearly an hour to dry. We haven't seen conditions like that since we left the Midwest, so many years ago.
Since my wife's birthday was on Thursday, and we didn't do the usual visit to a nicer eatery, we'll do that this evening.
The sign-up for the 2011 Iditarod was yesterday, and Lance Mackey - who has won the last four consecutive races - was at the head of the pack. According to the Daily News, "Four past winners who own a combined 14 championships were among 46 mushers who signed up Saturday" for next year's race.
Rick Swenson, the only five-time winner, is among those who will try to dethrone Mackey.

Just wanted to say hi. Still feeling like bear scat, but better, a little I think. Maybe :-)
Thanks for the well wishes.
Our weather here in N.ID has been mostly wet the past month. Finally sunned-up about 5 days ago.
Happy belated birthday to Mrs.Rev!! Hope you had a tasty meal.
(About the flamingos...years ago I used to be a volunteer at the Phx Zoo and that's when I learned about them getting their pink color from eating shrimp.Always found them fascinating too!)
