Fun Facts About Anchorage

I've mentioned Anchorage's basic statistics before, but since it's been awhile, I'll repeat a few here. The City of Anchorage and the Anchorage Borough combined in 1980 to become the "Unified Municipality of Anchorage". It's 1,955 square miles, much of which is forested mountainsides.

  • 2 senior centers

  • 11 recreational facilities
