Thanksgiving Weather Forecast

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ANCHORAGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT
AKST TONIGHT.

SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO FALL ACROSS THE ANCHORAGE AREA THROUGH THIS
EVENING AND THEN GRADUALLY TAPER OFF OVERNIGHT. THE SNOWFALL WILL
COVER UP ICY ROADS...PARKING LOTS...AND DRIVEWAYS MAKING IT
DIFFICULT TO KNOW WHERE ICE IS LOCATED. STORM TOTAL SNOW
ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 10 INCHES IS EXPECTED WITH HIGHEST AMOUNTS
ALONG THE ANCHORAGE HILLSIDE AND OTHER HIGHER ELEVATIONS ALONG
THE CHUGACH MOUNTAINS.
