Winter Solstice

is tomorrow, of course, but for those of us north of the 61st parallel, the distinction makes little difference.

We finally managed to get into the upper middle teens ... well, okay, 16 degrees, and have gotten another dusting of snow ... about six inches, this time.

It's still fluffy stuff that can literally be blown off of cars and sidewalks with a leaf-blower, or your breath, for that matter.

The skies are mostly clear now, and we hope to be able to watch the lunar eclipse which begins at 8:30 pm Alaska time. AccuHunch is saying we could get more snow tonight, though, so nothing is certain. On the other hand, last night's forecast was for less than an inch, according to weather.com, and the six inches we received prove the accuracy of their forecasts.

It will be what it will be ... enjoy your afternoon & evening.
