Crack-down: No Ifs, Ands, or Butts

No butts about it: the administration at East High in Anchorage has had enough, um, butts. Students have been issued zip ties, or told to cinch their belts, to prevent unsightly rear views.

Video here, and be warned: multiple bad pun alert!

I love it.

If nothing else they can quite easily claim it's a safety issue... anyone "wearing" that style of pants is in danger of not being able to leave the building quickly enough in case of an emergency and to be a hindrance to the rest of the students stuck behind them (no pun intended ;-)).

While they're at it they should remind all those who wear their ball caps at a "cocky" attitude (i.e. not aligned with the front or back of their heads) that 1) their heads are crooked (used to tell my students that all the time!)and 2) it just looks dumb (told them that too and got a few sheepish looks from them as they straightened their caps).

The bill of the cap is to be worn dead center over the nose (or the nape of the neck if it would interfere with your line of sight/rifle scope--or you are wearing a catcher's mask). Wearing it at a jaunty angle a la the hip-hop, wanna-be gangstas is just stupid.

Just one of those things that really bugs be. Almost as much as seeing some kids butt crack when he's not even a plumber!
