A Day to Play

No rant today; sorry if that disappoints. :)

The jet stream wags like a serpentine tail; within the last week we've had temps in Anchorage as low as -22. This morning, as the States experience their own bone-chilling cold, it's 23 at my place.

The snow is softly falling against the window pane, and there are a couple inches of white on the truck. It's not the blizzard I was hoping for, but at least the old snow is covered by a more attractive layer of fresh stuff.

Our plans include another walk at The Dome, and then ... I don't know. I love the occasional day of "I have no plans", because you never know what's going to happen. After so many years of a tightly-scheduled existence, it's fun to just play it by ear.

I hope your day is full of joy. Thanks for stopping by.

For what it's worth, the Anchorage Folk Festival has workshops morning and afternoon today, tomorrow, and next weekend... and concerts in the evening. :)

Here on the rock at the other side of the continent it is just below freezing and the weather quacks have predicted snow flurries...last week I got to scoop six inches of flurries out of the driveway

It is pretty bad when we were colder here in Wisconsin than you were there in Alaska. When you see people walking around with icicles hanging off their faces you know it is cold:)
