Randomosity, Part 216

Tone-Deaf Bureaucrats Dept.:  Some years ago, Anchorage residents voted to remove the issuance of parking tickets from the Parking Authority, and put it back in the hands of the police. Stories of the Authoriteh's heavy-handed bureaucratic red tape & aristocratic, authoritarian attitudes abound. Now the Assembly thinks it's time to give it back to them because of cuts to the APD budget.

Yeah, that's a good idea.

It's 3 degrees at Casa del Pablo, and AccuHunch guesses we could get into the minus teens, tonight. There is great rejoicing since the fog moved out on Monday, but there's been no fresh snow since before Christmas, and the locals are getting a bit twitchy about that. So if all y'all are done playing in the white stuff down there in the States, you're welcome to send it back here.

Other than the Trans-Alaska Pipeline woes (shut down for four days due to a small leak & another brief closure scheduled for the weekend), there's little else of national interest in our news.
