Going Through the Archives

I went through some of the thousands of photos we've taken since moving to Alaska, nearly a decade ago. My wife is putting together a presentation at work, and needed shots of Alaskan wildlife, mountains, the Iditarod, et cetera.

Here's a photo of Mount Susitna (the "sleeping lady") I'd forgotten, taken from Kincaid Park at the west point of the Anchorage bowl.

Mt. Susitna is 40 miles west of Anchorage, across the Cook Inlet, and stands some 4,300+ feet high.

So, readers: are there any other Alaskan sights you'd like to see?  I have lots of photographs, and am now taking requests.

My new favorite post. Do you have any photos from the following areas?

-Talkeetna Mountains,
-Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel
-Eagle River
-Matanuska-Susitna Valley
-Moose Creek
-Chugach Mountains

Do you have any areas that Alaskans visit, but would not be a typical tourist attraction or stop?

I would also be interested in any photos you have of the Alaska Marine Highway System.

God bless as always.

The people all furred up for the Iditarod Start! Some of those costumes are *amazing*.

Another neat sight, but I don't think I've ever seen it captured well on film, is sheep and mountain goats on the mountainside from the air. "The sheep are the little white circles.. the goats are the little white squares." :)
