JUNEAU -- An Alaska lawmaker hopes to guard against Islamic Sharia law by prohibiting state courts from honoring foreign law that violates Alaska or U.S. constitutional rights.
Though the bill's language does not specifically target Sharia, Rep. Carl Gatto, R-Palmer, said the legislation is a reaction to what he sees as the growing use of international law codes in courts that have robbed people of their constitutional rights.
Just when we think they're wasting all their time deciding on a state rodent, something like this pops up. Good for them.

What a great move on Alaska part.
Let's hope the other 49 states are similarly wise.
I agree and am hoping for the best!
Another 'great' law to pass would be to rid all of us of the dreaded and useless daylight 'savings' mess!
