and 1,564 posts ago, when I started putting words here, I had no particular plans for the blog other than to write about Alaska, and did it mostly as a lark. It was going to be a place where I could share "lookit lookit where I live" with my friends.
It has been a bully pulpit, and a great place to share stories and photos of the Alaska I love. I have made many, many new friends via this little corner of the cortex, and I'm grateful for that.
Now that it seems (much to my own amazement) that I'm writing a book, I hope the blog keeps getting better. There are other far-more-talented writers out there (Brigid, Tam, Jenny, and Roberta X all come immediately to mind) ... but I'm having fun, so I'll keep it going for as long as I have anything to say.
My daughters would tell you right here that you're all in big, big trouble. Hrmph.
