Alaskan Stories in Today's News

Here are a few stories from the Anchorage Daily News:

A 66-year-old woman shot and killed her longtime housemate in West Anchorage on Wednesday night because the housemate did not get out of bed to help her walk to the bathroom, police said today.

Lyrics written by a South High student about attacking other students resulted in a felony charge for the author and a 45-day emergency suspension from school.

Big Brother only part of the problem with society
I'm not a curmudgeon, although this column may sound curmudgeonly. Chalk it up to the fact that I don't ski or snowmachine. Without diversions, I spend all winter noticing things and now need to cleanse my mind of all irritants through a good spring cleaning.

Hope you've got plenty of brain bleach on hand. You go watching people and what they say and do too long and you're going to need gallons and gallons of the stuff.
