Two Stories of the Gun

From the local paper:
Late Sunday night in an East Anchorage apartment building, a young soldier cleaning his .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol accidentally fired it, according to police. The bullet hit his wife, passing through her breast, then through the floor of the apartment into the unit below, police said.
The story takes a strange twist from there. Check it out at the link.

And from e-mail:
A friend of mine was awakened yesterday in the wee hours, by the sound of someone trying the front door. Mysterious Stranger was only a dark shape on the porch, so Friend propped a broomstick against the opposite wall to reinforce his door, and fell asleep with "grandpa's .22" in hand.

Time for an upgrade, Friend thinks. On the way to work yesterday, he stopped at a local gun shop and picked up a .357 revolver. Saturday, Friend and I will be visiting the Wet Bunny Range to check it out.

It's been said that firemen are crazy, because they run INTO burning buildings. In the sandbox, Al Qaeda calls the Marines "they who run toward our bullets."

Al Qaeda can't shoot straight they were trained by the CIA:-).
