I hadn't heard about this. As a kid, watching Gun Smoke every Friday night after our store closed was a weekly ritual. Mom with her bowl of chips or ice cream, Daddy on the couch and us kids sitting close to the tv on the floor so we could catch every bit of it. RIP James Arness.
Yes, by all accounts, both he and brother Peter Graves, were good men.
We miss them.
