Snow

I thought that might get your attention.

It's been raining for the last three days and the temperatures have dropped a bit, overnight. The rain overnight has left a fresh layer of white on the lower peaks above town.

There's quite a bit of white at about the treeline, some 2,000 feet up. We had snow like that three times, last July, so it's not unusual. In fact, long-time residents tell us that these cool, wet summers are reminiscent of Alaska in the old days.

Global warming, my aunt Fanny.

Saw snow in June over the Summer Solstice when we where in Moose Pass a couple years ago.
Mountain tops were white...To the treeline and when we hiked to the top of one, we got snowed on.
In June.
Made us Minnesotans feel right at home....
