It's partly sunny, breezy, and 50 degrees at 8 a.m. AccuHunch guesses we'll get into the mid-60s today, with a chance of sprinkles later. Their guess is usually 7 to 10 degrees higher than whatever temp we eventually reach, but anything's possible.
Regarding the release of all those Palin administration e-mails: YAWN. Most people here have gone on with their lives, although there are a few PDS* sufferers who insist on displaying anti-Sarah bumper stickers**. Whatever.
And surprise, surprise: "there are no bombshells in the e-mails, so far."
Who'da thunk it?
There's a magpie somewhere in the neighborhood, harshing the morning calm. I used to love listening to songbirds in the mornings ... maybe the last thing about the Midwest that I still miss.
There's still a bit of snow on the higher mountain peaks, but only in the north-facing crannies. The line of green vegetation is rushing skyward, making the view so much more beautiful. Most summers, the green line just reaches the peaks and then starts right back down, as fall approaches. But that's okay. Snow soon covers the brown, and so we have color throughout the seasons.
My plans for the day? Maybe I'll have some after another cup of coffee. Right now, I'm enjoying just sitting ... and sipping ... and looking at the trees tossing in the morning breeze.
Y'all have a great weekend.
* PDS = Palin Derangement Syndrome.
** "Palin = Quitter" and "Sarah Palin for President 2012 - 2013 1/2" are the two I mainly see.
