isn't there some sort of rule about how - if the weather finally clears up, and the sun comes out on Thursday evening - it must stay that way for the whole weekend?

Hi Rev...first time I have been here in a long time. Good to see ya are still banging out a blog. I am in the north country now also...St John's Newfoundland. We have the same problem...got a few days of summer and now it is rain, and wind and 50F temperature and when the wind lays back the fog rolls in. But still beats the brutal heat of Florida summers, heh.
