Democratic pollster Pat Caddell says that America is at a "pre-revolutionary" status, with only 17% of those polled believing that the federal government has the consent of the governed. (h/t DR at The Maritime Sentry). I'm surprised the percentage is that high.
“The number of voters who feel the government has the consent of the governed – a foundational principle, contained in the Declaration of Independence – is down from 23% in early May and has fallen to its lowest level measured yet,” according to Rasmussen.* * * * *
