Okay, One More Mountain

Since I'm putting up so much scenery today (and because I haven't been able to conjure anything to write about ... it was a very busy day), here's Pioneer Peak in the late afternoon sun as we headed southeast out of Wasilla last Sunday.

Pioneer Peak literally towers over the town of Palmer, and at 6,398 feet is visible for miles.

I regret to inform you that as much as I enjoy your blog, I may have to discontinue doing so..
Why?
Because having had the opportunity to visit and spend time in Moose Pass with my boyz in 2009, well it captured me.
The people, we were on a church mission helping out Moose Pass Community Church and met many. Thye were all wonderful folks!
Did a little gold mining...that water was cold and fast.
The fishing, Russian River and Resurrection Bay.
The views, the hiking, lordy a lot(I mean a lot of up and down) but well worth it.
The weather, cool and wet, with SNOW in June??
And reading your blog continuously torments me...
Someday I will bring MyMostBeautifulWifeInTheWorld there to as least visit...
If I can get over my flying phobia...

Your mountains are incredibly beautiful!

@maddmedic - don't think of it as torment; try to view it as nice reminders of a place you'll visit again. Keeps the memories fresh, no?

I tend to agree with maddmedic. Seeing all these places in your pictures are a (pleasant) form of torment. I'll be back.

Nice pictures. Love the mountains.
I find I like dirt under my feet.

6398 feet should be a couple thousand feet down under me...but I'll settle for it being down on the flats as I look up at the mountains.

But another visit to come up and double-check that is always in order.

(6398 feet feels about 6400 feet above where I live now though it's actually only 6395 feet up.
How do people breathe with all this high-pressure oxygen stuff in the air? :) )
