The phone's been ringing off the hook, and we had a brief (4 minutes) power outage yesterday that seems to have scrambled parts of the electronic brains controlling the HVAC for the building. More contractors must be brought in to manually re-balance zone valves, dampers, fan speeds ...
And amid all the hubbub and confusion, I ran my older daughter over to DMV to get her instructional permit, to practice driving the 'new' li'l car we got for her.
Meanwhile, our younger daughter aced another test (leaving one to go) to help qualify for a "Governor's Scholarship" program at her chosen cooking school next fall.
You know, we've been running pretty hard since returning from vacation a month ago. It really wasn't this busy before we left. Maybe we shouldn't have gone ...?
