These headlines at the Anchorage Daily News site, today:
Arctic melt-off has accelerated since 2006, NOAA reports
Iced-in Nome facing expense of fuel shipments by airplanes
One is by theoreticians who are paid by the federal government, and the other is a report of actual conditions from Alaskans with boots on the ground.
Who ya gonna believe, hmm?

Nome is probably saying "Hurry up!"
Given the spat of new laws being passed to protect our freedoms and the American Way of Life, I'd say the theoreticians who are paid by the federal government.

PH: pretty much. It gets mighty cold on our west coast, this time of year.
Q: I don't know what you're smoking, but pass it around, 'kay?
Yep, I know which ones "I" would bet against... Just sayin...
But, Rev...I work with the boys (really) and they've assured me they know of what they speak and that they wouldn't lie to me.
Between that and the thought it must be against some law or another to disbelieve a Federal official, how could I not have total belief in theoreticians paid by the Federal government?
Should I take the word of not-properly trained and certified locals over highly trained prestigious scientists?
After all, the scientists have computer models - and like words in print - computers are never wrong. Especially when located on the East Coast.
I know they're prestigious because they all wandered off to San Francisco to the AGU meeting next week to meet with other prestigious scientists. I wasn't invited along because I'm "not a team player" which is required to become a prestigious scientist.
(Too bad they missed the Global Warming winds yesterday)
:) :) :) :) :)

It's still in the 40's here. I won't complain as long as any of the reports don't have snow in them yet.
