A 2-year-old child was shot in the head Sunday night by a stray bullet from a gun fired accidentally next door, according to Anchorage Police.
The husband, who is the owner of the gun, had been manipulating the weapon when it unexpectedly fired, Parker said. The hammer fell on what the gun owner thought was an empty chamber, the police spokesman said.
