and still below zero this morning, although not by much. AccuHunch predicts a warm-up to normal temps (in the mid-teens) later this week, with more snow moving in.
Could be worse ... it's -54 in McGrath this morning, and a balmy -35 in Fairbanks. By contrast, the warm air that plagued us in December is headed toward southeast Alaska (Juneau et al) where they expect rain on top of the snow they received last week.
Been there, done that. We feel for you folks.
As I prepare to head back to the office this morning, it occurs to me that I really haven't missed it in the last few days. You suppose they'd let me just check in by phone ..?

I know how you feel. Today is my first day back, so this morning I asked my boos if I could take another few days off. Now, it must be understood my boss is a butthole. He said, boy (yes, he calls me boy) get your butt to work. What a morning.
