Warm-up, Obamedicare, and ACTA Threat

It's only zero this morning, and that's quite an improvement from the weather we've experienced this month. The forecast for the week calls for temps at - or slightly above - normal. That will feel positively moderate by comparison to the sub-zero chill we've been living with.

According to articles in this morning's paper, some contradictory things are happening: a) hospitals here are expanding, and b) two new clinics which were to deal with the increase in Medicare patients are seeing their business falling off. You don't suppose people are running away from the ObamaKare changes, do you?

Nah. Couldn't be.

An outfit called the "United States Justice Foundation" (which I've not heard of before) claims that
"Barack Obama wants to enforce the ACTA treaty, which will give governments and special interest groups the power to shut down websites, and terminate your access to the internet, without the due process of law.  And he's going to do it without sending it to the U. S. Senate for ratification."

ACTA, of course, is the U.N.-sponsored international version of SOPA/PIPA which your elected Congresscritters claimed was (cough, cough) shelved indefinitely. Such action would be in keeping with recently-observed behavior.

Check it out for yourselves, and see what you think.
