That blizzard warning for last night & today was a big bunch of ... nothing. We got some wind, but no snow. Now they're saying we'll still get a couple inches today, but that's a far cry from 6" with high winds & whiteout conditions. Whatever.
Younger Daughter was determined to finish all her senior year requirements by the end of this month, and - after meeting with her advisor for a couple hours yesterday - it is determined that all she needs to do is compose a resume, write a paragraph about her five-year plan, and she's ready to graduate. Whenever she wants, at 16. So we're scheduling her private graduation ceremony, complete with cap and gown, for mid-April. And all this has happened while she's working three days per week as a paid assistant to the pastry chef at a major hotel. We are SO proud of her.
I should go to the range today, but am fighting a severe lack of motivation. I think it's the whole middle-of-winter-blahs thing.
That's about it for this morning; all y'all have a great day.

Such a great achievement at such a young age. I'm proud of her too. I too am bowing to the elements today, rain and cool.
Congratulations to her and your family!
And who says today's young people aren't motivated!
Good job to her and her family!
And I know what you mean about 'mid-winter blahs'. I grew up in Northern Illinois, and what a drag! You had Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year's, then.....NOTHING until the weather turned nice again!
Congrats to all! What an amazing accomplishment!
Ah. I see my Facebook question has been answered: No blizzard but for the dire words of the doom mongers...I mean forecasters.
Congratulations to the sprog!
Congrats on her achievement! Well done.
