Dallas Seavey, third-generation Iditarod musher, arrived in White Mountain almost 90 minutes ahead of Aliy Zirkle. The others in the top five have also arrived, but #5 is nearly six hours behind Seavey.
We'll have a winner before midnight, at this rate.

Alaas, Aliy seems to be out of the running for first. She just could not narrow the gap between her and Dallas Seavey. Now she'll have to hold on with speedster Ramey Smyth chasing her out of White Mtn all the way to Nome. That 50 minute lead she has on him isn't likely to last if his dogs maintain the pace they had coming into WM.
