Pull The Other One

It's got bells on.

Our trusty neighborhood weather-guesser from AccuHunch went on and on, this morning, assuring us that while it's snowing to the south and east, it won't do it here.

"The air mass is just too dry. There's that down-sloping from the mountains going on, and the whole shadow effect is in place. Sorry, folks, but we're just not going to get anything more than maybe some light snow showers."

So yeah ... when I left for work, it was snowing like crazy. Update at 1:47 pm: it hasn't stopped yet.


In other news, Dallas Seavey, 3rd generation musher, became the youngest (at 25) to win the Iditarod at 7:29 pm.  Aliy Zirkle came in second, exactly one hour later. 35 minutes after that, Ramey Smith finished third.
