A Thought on Gun Control

This post over at North's place prompted my comment:
I have long observed that the liberals/leftists/Progressives project their own insecurities & incompetencies on everyone else. They don't trust themselves with firearms, ergo we shouldn't have them either.

Tough. No reason I should disarm in the face of danger simply because THEY have their tails between their legs.

I have no plans to keep them company when they hide under their beds.

I would rather die fighting than die hiding.

I pray that I never have to find out. But I was willing to use my rifle when I enlisted, and that has never changed.

Sad thing is, it will be those of us that choose to arm ourselves that will end up protecting their tucked tails and thereby securing their freedom to do the very same thing again when times get rough. Now that is what I call a vicious circle.

I hope I never have to fire my weapon in self defense, but I would much rather have that option than a stiff word and a rolled up newspaper at my disposal.

Well said Shepard!
