One of my tenants has a problem: a strange odor manifests around lunchtime, smelling like ... well, like cooked broccoli. (I know. Deal.)
We can't figure out the source of the, um, aroma, and no one in any adjoining space is heating anything that would produce such a smell ... especially not every single day.
I have the HVAC people sending over a tech with an air sniffer to see if it's anything dangerous.
I know my readers are a clever bunch, so whaddya say? Any ideas?

Pour water (bleach water) down any unused drains? Floor drain or washer drains can dry out.
North, that was the first thing I checked; all the sinks in the suite are used daily.
Water heater? Sulfur?
(This seems familiar.)
This is a 2nd floor suite in a four-story building. Hot water comes from boilers on the top floor; no heat source other than sealed baseboard radiant heaters. The air supply is shared, yet no one in any adjacent spaces smell anything. I'm thinking of having the suite scrubbed to operating room standards, to see if that helps.
You never had one o' them fancy broccolitic converters installed did ya? Could be going bad :)
Bwaahahahaha! I love that.
