I was in the doctor's waiting room the other day and sat on a newspaper that was on the chair. This guy comes over and asks "Are you reading that?" Didn’t really know how to respond... So I said yes. I stood up, turned the page, and sat down again.

Funny! I remember a version of that joke told by David Brenner during one of his many "Tonight Show" guest host gigs. As I recall he was sitting on a seat in the subway when a fellow passenger asked the question. Classic!
