Saturday in the A.M.

We're just up (yeah, we slept in. Deal.) and working on the first cups o' coffee. The skies are cloudy, but the young leaves are green, and we have things to do.

Younger daughter Sam has her "official", individual high school graduation ceremony/reception tomorrow, so we'll be heading to the McMansion on the mountainside above town (owned by the school district) to decorate, this afternoon.

She's going to prepare some more yummy snacks & horse doovers for the attendees. As valedictorian of her graduating class (not that they've studied together, being a collection of home-school students) she rates attendance of the school board president and the superintendent. At least, we've been told to expect them. She's suffering from just a bit of stage fright from that news, even though she's met them before.

Since my personal bent is more toward electronics than decor, I expect to be setting up the sound system. Most of the music for the two-hour reception will be supplied by Sam's iPod, but the actual ceremony will feature music from my laptop.

Let's see ... Pomp & Circumstance?  Check.
Needle scratch?  Check.
"School's Out" by Alice Cooper?  Check.

Heh.
