You'll remember that BATFE agents recently contacted several Anchorage gun stores & asked for their sales records, etc.
Our Congressman, Don Young, got involved and asked them what's up. Here's the ATF's written response to Rep. Young (R-AK). If you can't download the PDF, let me summarize: "We didn't do nuthin', and we wouldn't, neither, on account of it ain't legal."
So why am I so skeptical?

Sounds like the Seattle office has other problems, too. But I'm not buying this one.

Why would the owners of the gun shops lie about something of this nature? What could they possibly gain from lying? ATF on the other hand....
