My older daughter came back from the weekend's activities with both good news and bad. First of all, if you don't know about the Appleseed organization or the marksmanship training they provide, you may read an excellent report from Borepatch here, or visit appleseedinfo.org for the "from the horse's mouth" info.
Daughter's good news is that her shooting improved, and that's a good thing. There were some issues with her rifle which distracted her (on Saturday, her new scope came loose; she reattached it and
found it shooting 8" to the left. An instructor promptly got her
readjusted & hitting the black again. On Sunday, she got tired
as the day wore on and reached the point of diminishing returns; again,
the instructors were very, very supportive) but she makes no excuses; it is what it is, and thanks to the Appleseed instructors, she was able to address those and move on.
There's another event in September, and both she and her younger sister will be attending. May I add that this dad is proud and pleased?
