Older daughter Mel participated in the Appleseed Shoot at the Birchwood Range (Chugiak, AK) over the weekend. Saturday didn't go so well, but yesterday was a different story.
A participant must score 210 points or higher on the qualifying target to win the coveted title. After a disappointing Saturday (score of 173), yesterday all the training, instruction, and practice came together.
She scored 212 points, and is now signed up as an instructor for new shooters.
Congratulations, Mel - I'm proud of you!Love, Dad
p.s. Note to readers: I'll have pictures, later.

That's great. It took me two days too, using my M1A.
