Sandy, I think moose season is just now ending; it's just that the Anchorage PD gets all huffy if you start using rifles in residential areas. Go figure!
Stephen, you're right. The larger of those two bulls probably weighs 1200 lbs; the smaller not much less. The REALLY big ones top out at 1,400 lbs.
