My two cents' worth as a property manager: check a) the freezer, and b)any rarely-used sinks or floor drains. When a P-trap dries out, it lets sewer gas into the space.
Looks like we will have to move some workbenches, lockers, desks, spare parts, etc. Or put up with it another day and see if it goes away by next Monday =)

I hate mystery odors - the last one was a loose plug on a capped-off waste stack line, above a drop ceiling. Took awhile to find it.

Ah, yes. The pre-Christmas party office refrigerator cleaning. Involves guessing what things used to be. And occasional urges to hurl.
